From a Small Dairy to a Boland Institution
Malan’s Dairy started from very humble beginnings. Back in 1948, our family-owned company got its start selling dairy products in the Paarl region.
Our family-owned and operated business was built from the ground up with the intention to provide excellent dairy distribution services to companies large and small. Our humble beginnings help us value the personal relationships we develop with our customers, while our cutting-edge business practices and facility mean we can provide the same high-end service you would expect from national competitors.
Now in its third generation, Malan’s Dairy continues its mission to deliver on its promise of excellent customer service and quality products, still family-owned, still in Paarl.

Malan's Dairy started from very humble beginnings. In 1948, our family-owned company got its start selling dairy products in the Paarl region, built from the ground up to serve companies large and small.

From a small dairy to one of the leading dairy, egg and beverage suppliers in the Western Cape, today Malan's serves 1,000+ customers with a 140-strong team and 24 branded refrigerated trucks, plus our own-brand cheese, milk and buttermilk range.
Third generation
Still family, still hands-on
Now in its third generation, Malan's continues its mission to deliver excellent customer service and quality products. Our humble beginnings are why we still value personal relationships, while a modern facility lets us match the service of national competitors.
What's next
Growing into the future
We're extending our daily delivery into Hermanus, investing in solar-powered, data-logged cold-chain efficiency, and deepening our own-brand range, while staying exactly what we've always been: a family-owned Paarl dairy.

Generations Serving Generations
The heritage isn’t only in the family that owns Malan’s, it’s in the people who run it. Most of our 140-strong team have been here ten years or more, and entire families work across the warehouse, the routes and the office. That long memory is why customers served decades ago are still served today.
